Photo of Dan Bongino and Kash Patel Goes Viral Online

Dan Bongino made waves on Tuesday morning by posting a photo of himself alongside the newly sworn-in FBI Director, Kash Patel.

He accompanied the image with an American flag and a heart emoji, prompting speculation on social media about the potential achievements of the two as they lead the FBI together.

Bongino has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the FBI under Patel. A former Secret Service agent and a staunch Trump supporter, Bongino expressed his eagerness to “get to work” at the bureau.

In an emotional message to his audience on Monday morning, Bongino announced that he would be stepping back from political commentary.

“This isn’t the last show, but we have only a few more left together,” Bongino shared with viewers. “We’ll be transitioning from me, political commentator Dan, to Deputy Director of the FBI Dan.”

He noted that these are distinct roles requiring different skill sets, which he possesses and intends to utilize. “It’s going to be tough to say goodbye,” he admitted.

Bongino reassured his fans that his departure wouldn’t affect the content produced by his wife and daughters, who have been actively involved in managing his brand.

“I’ll be with you a little longer on the radio and my show, where I’ll explain what’s next. My wife has been running the business for quite some time; I focus on the talking,” Bongino explained.

“The FBI is for the American people. It doesn’t belong to me or anyone else. This is a tremendous honor and a serious mission, and I intend to carry out that vision,” he concluded.

In a Truth Social post on Sunday night, Trump announced Bongino’s appointment, praising him as “a man of incredible love and passion for our Country.”

Trump wrote: “Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI by the future best Director, Kash Patel. Dan holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y. and an MBA from Penn State. He served with the New York Police Department, was a respected Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service, and is now one of the country’s most successful podcasters, a career he is willing to set aside to serve. Together with our new U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, we will restore Fairness, Justice, Law, and Order to America, and quickly. Congratulations, Dan!”

Trump later added, “Another important aspect of Dan Bongino’s life is his wonderful wife, Paula, and their two loving daughters. He will do an incredible job!”

Bongino responded on X, simply saying, “Thank you, Mr. President, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel.”

After Patel was confirmed and sworn in as FBI Director last week, he expressed his gratitude to the president on X, stating he was ready to “get to work.”

“I am honored to be confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence and support,” Patel wrote.
